Warriors Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
Sunday, February 05, 2012
Like so many other recent editions of the Warriors, the 2011-12 squad has dug itself a hole even before the All-Star break. And also consistent with recent history, this year's team appears incapable of pulling itself out. The Warriors had a chance to build their first three-game winning streak of the season Saturday and help erase at least part of a disappointing start but were unable to finish off the Kings in regulation and wound up losing to their Northern California rivals 114-106 in overtime. Most teams don't make a big deal about games in the first half of the season, but the Warriors aren't like most teams. They have a new coach, Mark Jackson, who is intent on immediately turning around a losing tradition and making the playoffs in his first season....

DeMarcus Cousins pulled his Sacramento Kings teammates together just prior to overtime and passionately let them know what needed to be done. Play together, urged the second-year center. And that's just what the Kings did, putting aside the somewhat selfish play that has been prevalent much of the season.

Tony Parker scored 42 points and broke the Spurs' franchise record for career assists, leading San Antonio to a 107-96 win over the NBA-best Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night. The Thunder (18-5) narrowly averted their worst loss this season, while the convincing win was just the springboard San Antonio needed before spending next three weeks on the road -- where the Spurs have hardly...

Will the Golden State Warriors Have an All-Star Representative in 2012? Fan’s Take (Yahoo! Contributor Network)
Saturday, February 04, 2012
The Golden State Warriors have not had an All-Star representative since Latrell Sprewell in 1997. With a drought this long for the Bay Area franchise, the question that is asked around this time every season is whether or not the team will receive or has a deserving All-Star...

Golden State Warriors Vs. Sacramento Kings: Fan Preview (Yahoo! Contributor Network)
Saturday, February 04, 2012
The Golden State Warriors didn't need Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry in the fourth quarter the last time these two teams met. Instead, Brandon Rush, Ekpe Udoh, and Nate Robinson led the team in the fourth quarter to a 93-90 win over the Sacramento Kings on January 31.

Ellis, Curry Breakout as Warriors Handle Jazz 119-101: Fan Reaction (Yahoo! Contributor Network)
Friday, February 03, 2012
While I may not have predicted the Golden State Warriors would score so many points in my preview article for this matchup, I did say that Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry would find their offensive rhythm - and that they did. Golden State's two stars, Ellis and Curry, combined...

Monta Ellis didn't seem too impressed with Golden State's best offensive performance of the season. It was the Warriors defense which had Ellis grinning in the locker room afterward -- and had coach Mark Jackson propping up his backcourt as one of the top tandems in the NBA. Ellis scored 33 points, Stephen Curry added 29 points and a season-high 12 assists and Golden State capped its...

Golden State Warriors Vs. Utah Jazz: Fan Preview (Yahoo! Contributor Network)
Thursday, February 02, 2012
The Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz will meet for their second of four matchups on the season on February 2. In their first matchup, the Jazz edged the Warriors 88-87 at Oracle Arena in Oakland. That game was one of just six that the Jazz are played on the road so far this year...

Golden State Warriors Hold Off Sacramento Kings 93-90: Fan Reaction (Yahoo! Contributor Network)
Wednesday, February 01, 2012
Even though I had the Golden State Warriors losing this matchup against the Sacramento Kings because I didn't think the Warriors could dominate inside, the Warriors still managed to pull out a victory at home. The Kings out-rebounded the Warriors 53-38 and the Warriors got...

Rush leads Warriors past Kings in Smart's return (AP)
Tuesday, January 31, 2012
Mark Jackson has called himself a "flow coach" since he started with the Golden State Warriors this season, imploring that he will ride whatever works no matter how unconventional it seems. Jackson proved so much against his predecessor. Brandon Rush scored 15 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter to spark a late rally, and the Warriors spoiled former coach Keith Smart's return with...

The Golden State Warriors are doing all they can to bring an NBA championship to Oakland this season. Don't expect the likes of Monta Ellis and David Lee to give up. With a strong February, the Warriors can further work themselves into a position for a big postseason push.

Kevin Durant stood in the Oklahoma City Thunder's locker room buttoning up a blue-knit sweater atop his beige corduroy pants. Two spots over, Russell Westbrook sat in a chair with his shirt off and ice under his left leg, poking fun at Durant's outfit. Then both took turns teasing teammate James Harden for his sparkling, spiked black shoes.

Golden State Warriors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder: Fan Preview (Yahoo! Contributor Network)
Friday, January 27, 2012
The Golden State Warriors have gotten off to a rough start with new head coach Mark Jackson. The team is 6-11 overall and is 1-6 in the conference and 0-3 in the division. Records like that usually don't do much for a team's playoff hopes but surprisingly the Warriors sit...

Mark Jackson looked up the scoreboard during a timeout late in the fourth quarter and couldn't be happier to find his team in another close game. The final result had the rookie coach smiling even more. Stephen Curry scored a season-high 32 points and added seven assists and six rebounds, and the Warriors extended their recent home dominance against Portland with a 101-93 victory Wednesday...

Grizzles rally from 20 down to beat Warriors 91-90 (AP)
Monday, January 23, 2012
The Memphis Grizzlies built their longest winning streak in six seasons with a flurry of fast starts. They kept it going with one of the best finishes in franchise history. Maybe now coach Lionel Hollins' team will be taken seriously. Rudy Gay scored 23 points, three in the final 23 seconds, and the surging Grizzlies rallied from 20 points down in the second half to beat the Golden State...

Even after a 5-10 start, Warriors coach Mark Jackson is keeping cheery (Yahoo! Sports)

Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson -- through his time as a player, color commentator, and rookie coach -- has never appeared anything less than buoyant. And, because his Warriors have started the season by losing 10 of their first … Continue reading ?
